Jill and Chris (10)
Jill and Chris were married at the Groome Inn. A local restored family farmhouse located on Groometown Road. The sky threatened rain all day, but as the Bride walked out onto the lawn the sun shone through the clouds and celebration began. A classic color scheme of apple green and navy fit nicely with the Inn's classic feel. Stacey with the Farmer's Wife complimented the color scheme and style with beautiful green poms and bouquets. -
Elizabeth and Ryan (15)
Elizabeth and Ryan's reception was at the UNCG Alumni house. The bride was a pleasure to work with. She was so creative and organized that working with her was a breeze. Ryan kept the evening hopping with a great sense of humor and surprises of his own. The colors were bright, vivrant and classic at the same time. The Farmers Wife assisted the bride with her homegrown wheat grass centerpieces, and filled the room with hydrangeas and orchids. Julie Watson created a classic and yummy cake that served as the base for the handmade sillouette topper. K2 productions did the lighting and kept the night jumping with great music. No downtown evening would be complete without an appearance from the Hot Dog Man.... Yes, Elizabeth and Ryan completed their party with a street vendor hotdog! So much fun! -

Kathryn and Justin were married at Hodgin Valley Farms this summer. The rustic barn provided a great stage for the reception, complete with a blue grass band. We utilized the farm antiques at the farm to accentuate the buffet and bar. The bride and groom had their first dance on the porch under the wagon wheel light. Friends and family supplied the cakes for a true southern dessert table. Farmer's Wife created the flowers. Photography by Sweet Basil's. -
